Rendezvous with Raptors
By Dianne Zuckerman
Caring for
injured raptors, like this Swainson's hawk is one of the environmental success stories
in Colorado. Here’s an example of dedicated caretakers.
FORT COLLINS - Silent and speckled, the red-tailed hawk sits in a wooden
flight cage at the Rocky Mountain Raptor
Program, the bird’s home for the past three months. The hawk is healthy.
But it won’t be heading back to the wild anytime soon.
