Antique Hunting: One of Summer's Pleasures
By Carol Ward
Up, up, I force myself out of bed on a Saturday summer morning, knowing
that I have no time for make-up or any fashion sense. I am an "antiquer"
and summer week-end mornings are prime time.
I'm delighted when I see people spring cleaning. The need to clean out one's
house might be primal, but what I want to know is--what are you getting rid of
that I might want? I'm off to my neighborhood and territory beyond.
With the many yard sales, open-air flea markets, house sales and
auctions--shopping takes on new proportions. It's all about options and knowing
that any road can lead to a treasure.
