Colorado Conifers For Winter Green

After perennials wither and autumn leaves litter the sidewalks, evergreens claim the landscape. We first notice the striking shapes--conical blue spruces, spherical piñon pines, mop top ponderosas, creeping junipers, Christmas tree-shaped Douglas firs. It’s only when we get to know them that we appreciate their hardiness, too.
